Hi, future dancer! I’m Evan Brogdon, Owner and Instructor at The Dream Dance Studio. After

years of perseverance and hard work, I opened The Dream in 2023. I’m so excited to be on this

journey with you.

I’ve danced since I was 3 years old at Mamie’s School of Dance in Bartow, just across town

from where The Dream is today. At 7 years old, I was invited to join Mamie’s competitive dance

team, and enjoyed so many adventures. We went to new places like New York City, Gatlinburg,

and Myrtle Beach. I had the opportunity to dance at the EPCOT Fourth of July festival for many

years. I learned new techniques from incredible choreographers at local and national dance

competitions. And, in 2017, my “last hoorah” as a dancer at Mamie’s was an amazing, non-stop,

30-minute show performed on the Carnival Conquest cruise.

In my last few years with Mamie’s, I transitioned into a teaching role, and fell in love with

teaching students the love of dance. That started my dream of one day owning my own studio,

and over the last 7 years, I’ve taught throughout Polk County, FL at several different studios and

elementary schools, alongside completing cosmetology school.

When I’m not dancing or teaching, I live in Bartow with my partner Anfernee, our fur baby Bella and our son Xavian, who we welcomed in 2024.

When I opened The Dream Dance Studio, I wanted it to be a place where students felt

welcome, heard, encouraged, and loved. I am so excited to meet you and your family, and can’t

wait to see how my dance studio family grows!
